Word Parade

This term we are really launching our vocabulary-learning initiative: Word Aware!

On Friday, 5th January, children and staff came to school dressed as their favourite word for our word parade. From spotty to munificent to dhampir… our vast word choices were on display!

Well done to our children who won prizes for their words and costumes. The judges favoured ambitious word choices over fancy costumes because they felt it showed who had really thought about their vocabulary. However, we were proud of each and every child, and their diverse love of words.

Thank you to our parents who joined us for our workshop with Miss Chapleo before the parade. It was lovely to see so many of you, and great to have so many questions about supporting your child to develop their vocabulary. Keep your eyes peeled for those word labels coming home on Fridays!
